Need help with my Aqua Clear power filter set up?
I have a aqua clear power filter 30 gallon to 28 gallon my tank. Instructions are not clear as to where ammonia filter bag goes b / c I am trying to remove high levels of ammonia from my tank. What is a way for filters? bio sponge (bottom of the basket) ammonia filter bag (on top of sponge), then the bag carbon filter (on top of bag filter ammonia) then max bio bag? I called 3 different PetSmarts and got 3 different answers. If you know that, I would be really grateful. Thank you.
Hi, I have 2 aqua 20 50 and 1 aqua 1 aqau 110. Sponge goes to pot first, then activated carbon, thats black baggie, then bio high max. You should get max bio baggie out and really open that so broad, then all the white dome in until your tank is cycled out, do not use ammonia bag. This will not help if you are starting on cycle. It will hurt you because it will deprive you of ammonia and bacteria need to grow with. Bag ammonia tanks is set to absorb any excess ammonia in water.
