LTO-3 backup tape represents an economical and efficient storage media that features unique architecture and robust design to meet the challenges of modern data intensive applications. The LTO ultrium-3 media cartridge designed by TDK is D2406-LTO3 that secures the businesses' sensitive data for longer time durations (almost thirty years). The requirements of these modern era data applications are fast access speed, decreased operational costs, long durable life, low power consumption, increased efficiency and greater storage capability. TDK LTO-3 tape format features all the latest techniques that make it capable of fulfilling all the backup storage demands of the organizations in a cost effective manner.
High precision data media has been introduced by TDK in its highly durable LTO-3 tapes. Cartridge mechanism used in the TDK D2406-LTO3 ultrium is very efficient and robust that comprises of new innovative techniques. These innovative techniques include the reel drum highly accurate circular position that is used to wind the tape, and the leader pin which performs as an access point within the LTO tape drive. Both these reliable features of TDK LTO-3 ensure outstanding precision and high output frequency. TDK has also introduced the LTO3 media tape offering the WORM technology. The WORM type LTO3 cartridge is D2406W-LTO3. TDK WORM type D2406W-LTO3 tape prevents modifications to stored information and assures increased data reliability.
Super Finavinx metal particles are exclusively engineered by TDK which are utilized in its LTO-3 backup tape format. These Super Finavinx particles are very useful in stabilizing the output frequency and ensure high performance and superior aging stability. High precision reading/recording and high data density assist TDK LTO-3 technology to provide outstanding output frequency under harsh working conditions. TDK LTO3 media tapes are best suited for heavy work loads. Highly efficient TDK D2406W-LTO3 tape features ultra fine tape reel that has a dual layer coating. Therefore it helps to enhance the stability of servo signals and data throughput. The upper layer of the TDK LTO-3 cartridge's tape reel is composed of magnetic layer while its lower layer comprises of a non-magnetic layer. TDK has employed an advanced mechanism in tape coating process of ultrium-3 tapes. This new mechanism controls the coating thickness of the LTO-3 tape's reel at nanometer order. In this new advanced coating system, the boundary between the lower & upper layer of TDK LTO-3 tape reel is kept extremely sharp which ensures tight uniformity of the magnetic layer.
TDK D2406-LTO3 cartridge, with its higher data density, further enhances the data throughput, thus ensuring stabilized output characteristics and accurate servo signals. Low error rate and decreased noise level of TDK LTO-3 backup tape lead to increased output and unmatched scalability. Increased performance level with low noise is assured by the high capacity TDK LTO-3 tape format because of its ultra thin coating technique, Super Finavinx magnetic particles robust base film, increased track density and uniform tape surface.
