Can i get a small cheap heater and filter at a pet store?

I'm thinking about breeding guppies. I know how to but i just need help with the aquarium set up. In the past ive put a single guppy in just a fish bowl with no filter or heater. is it possible i could just do this? if not are there any really small cheap filters i could get at the petstore? how do i set it up? thank you

I've bred cichlids before but never guppies. I found this cool site that should give you a pretty good idea how to get started:

Now, having bred other fish before, here are few things that were successful for me.
1. Separate the parents from the babies. The babies will get eaten if you don't.
2. Get a small filter that allows you to control the flow of water. Cover the intake with old pantyhose so the babies won't get sucked into the filter.
3. Do frequent water changes. Take water from the parents' tank and put it into the babies tank.
4. Make sure you maintain a constant water temp. Check it often. I have killed so many babies by forgetting to plug the heater back in after a water change.
5. Seriously consider if you want to take on this task. Maybe you should try establishing a regular guppy tank, then consider moving onto breeding.
