There are many innovative, ground-breaking and pioneering technologies that have brought a revolution in many fields. MAXBLEND is such technology originally developed by Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. in search of a truly efficient mixing reactor. Though, this technology is not the latest one, but ever since it was developed in 1986, it has found many different applications in different industries.
The mixing technology, MAXBLEND is used in various fields. The main thing in it is the mixing performance that is very efficient with uniform flow and short mixing time. All these features are not possible with conventional impeller or blender. That is because the mixing performance in case of conventional multistage impeller is strongly affected by the operating liquid level and its viscosity.
However, in case of MAXBLEND with vertical design and uniform discharge flow at the vessel bottom, the performance is quite steady and uniform. So in case of impeller using this technology the performance of the impeller is maintained when the liquid height changes.
Nowadays, MAXBLEND has found various applications especially in petrochemical equipment market. The most distinguishing feature of this technology is stable operation and applicability in a wide range of thickness levels and viscosities ranging from 1mPa.s at the minimum side to 100Pa.s at the maximum side.
