As my editor will verify, I have become somewhat obsessed lately on the idea of building a backyard theater. Now I have a good feeling to realize some of my enthusiasm is nothing more than spring fever (last year was a pond fish). But 2008 feels different somehow ... and with a deal like this the chances of me actually following through are tantalizingly realistic (do not ask for fish).
First, let me back up and explain what a "backyard theater" is. EH has posted many uber outdoor theater on the page, so far most of our budget is laughable (If you do not 're laughing, you're crying). Backyard Theaters receive an access to every-day guy. Often, they are nothing more than a bed sheet, a projector off ebay, and your kids receiver / speakers. And to be honest, that low-budget feel is half of the draw - nights like these with friends and neighbors are not supposed to be full-blown cotillions. Rather, they are intended sharing an igloo cooler and your favorite movie.

Once you've sampled the options and advice, you will appreciate how crazy the price is today Widescreen inflatable screen. At 144 "diagonal (12 'wide, long 12 ') on the screen is perfect for the 16:09 show and comes with an integrated pump, stakes, tethers, storage bag and even a fuse in case the kids try it in the pool (our lawyers are gonna love that line). Framework is made of weather / fade-resistant nylon and weighs about 25 pounds in all. Setup time is minimal and the separation and storage of all screen is on a shelf in your garage. This widescreen model is slightly raised to accommodate multiple rows of lawn chairs and hammocks. A cheaper version is set lower to the ground.
Reviews have been glowing for all lines, mainly due to noise-for-buck nature. Most would agree these are not high end screens and can last a couple seasons of use, but compared with $ 1k-12k price ticket for competition, it's a no-brainer.
